Flor Argento is a veteran tango dancer and teacher, filmmaker, producer, and historian. She studied tango dance as a teen with the grand milongueros of the Golden Age, including Carlos Gavito, and has spent her career carrying their tradition to dance floors across Europe. In November 2026, she arrives in San Francisco on her 29th European tour and her FIRST visit to the United States. Flor is a historian trained at the University of Buenos Aires, where her thesis was on the history of tango dance. She brings that scholarship into the studio. For her, tango is a living culture with codes, music, and people behind it, as well as a set of steps. She is a member of the International Dance Council CID-UNESCO.
