These Contact Improvisation Fundamentals Sessions are a journey of relational self discovery through explorations on weight sharing and touch. We will slow down to be able to listen to the body in stillness and movement so that we can be available to play generously and lovingly. Laura Muñoz is a dance and theater maker, somatics practitioner and educator. She works with Playhouse Arts as arts instigator and enlace comunitaria. She is also co-coordinator of CUNA (Comunidad Unida del Norte de Arcata). To find the space: The Arcata Presbyterian Church is a large unique yellow building on the north east corner of 11th and G streets. Enter through the Todd Room Door. This is the second door furthest uphill on the West side of the church (G street). Upon entering immediately on the left is another door leading to a flight of stairs. Go up the stairs and the gym will be on your left.
